The programme was aimed at sensitising students and participants about the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, voter registration, verification of electoral details, and the procedure for filing claims and objections. Dr. Bhup Singh Dhami, Sector Magistrate for SIR, addressed the gathering as the principal speaker. He provided detailed information regarding the SIR 2026 process, verification of electoral rolls, registration of eligible voters, and mechanisms available to citizens for submitting claims and objections. Dr. Dhami urged students to participate actively in the democratic process and encouraged them to disseminate voter-awareness messages among their families and communities. SVEEP Nodal Officer Dr. Geeta Tiwari Pandey underlined the significance of voter awareness and called upon students to remain conscious of their constitutional right to vote and participate responsibly in the electoral process. College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Pandey emphasised that an informed and responsible electorate is indispensable for strengthening democracy. He encouraged students to acquire authentic election-related information, exercise their franchise responsibly, and promote voter awareness within society. During the interactive session, students raised several questions concerning SIR 2026 and electoral-roll procedures. The queries were addressed by the principal speaker in a clear, factual and accessible manner. The programme was organised under the college’s SVEEP activities. IT Department representative Raghvendra Singh, along with faculty members Dr. D. V. Singh, Dr. K. K. Mishra, Dr. Mamta Mishra, Dr. Hina Parveen, Dr. Sapna, Dr. Pramod Verma, Dr. Ritu, Mrs. Nirmala and Shri Bhagwati Prasad, as well as a large number of students, actively participated in the programme. The initiative sought to strengthen electoral awareness among young citizens and reinforce the importance of accurate electoral rolls and informed participation in the democratic process.
