The Padma Devi Amar Dev Nautiyal Charitable Trust has continued its social welfare initiatives by extending financial assistance to educational institutions, underprivileged families and meritorious students in Pauri Garhwal and other areas of Uttarakhand.Working for the past three decades to promote education and support economically disadvantaged communities, the trust has once again reaffirmed its commitment to social service in 2026.Under the joint guidance of Trust President Prof. Rajaram Nautiyal, Vice-President Dr. Subhash Nautiyal and Chief Trustee and Secretary Hariram Nautiyal, the initiative draws inspiration from the service ideals and memories of late Dr. Rajesh Nautiyal and his wife, Reena Nautiyal.Financial Assistance Extended to School and Beneficiaries.The trust provided financial assistance of ₹50,000 to Government Inter College, Sumaadi, in Khirsu Development Block of Pauri Garhwal district. In addition, Chief Trustee and Secretary Hariram Nautiyal contributed ₹10,000 in memory of his wife.Financial assistance was also distributed among identified beneficiaries from different sections of society:
- Kiran Devi, Gram Panchayat Chamrada: ₹25,000
- Shakuntala Devi, Sumaadi village: ₹25,000
- Divya Pant, Pabo: ₹25,000
- Balak Das, Muni Ki Reti: ₹20,000
- Sabita Rawat: ₹30,000
The total assistance distributed under the initiative amounted to ₹1.85 lakh.Working to Fulfil Our Parents’ Dreams’: Prof. Rajaram Nautiyal .Speaking on the occasion, Trust President Prof. Rajaram Nautiyal said that the values and blessings of his parents had shaped the family’s commitment to public service. He said the service-oriented lives of late Dr. Rajesh Nautiyal and Reena Nautiyal continued to inspire the initiative.Recalling his father’s struggles with poverty and hardship, Prof. Nautiyal said the family’s objective was to ensure that financial difficulties did not prevent hardworking and aspiring individuals from moving forward in life.He added that the trust was making a humble effort to support those in need and work towards fulfilling his father’s vision. Dr. Akhilesh Chandra Chamola Applauds Trust’s Initiative .Dr. Chamola, a recipient of the Governor’s Award and an international teaching honour, praised the trust’s efforts to support rural communities.He said identifying and nurturing talented children from economically disadvantaged families, while strengthening educational institutions in remote areas, was among the most meaningful forms of social service.He described the Nautiyal family’s initiative as an inspiring example for the people of Uttarakhand.For three decades, the trust’s continued efforts have focused on extending support to those facing financial hardship, helping them pursue education and maintain their dignity and self-confidence.
