Lalkuan Civic Issues Take Centre Stage as Chairman Surender Lotani Meets Bareilly DRM Veena Sinha

Report By SWATI

LALKUWA  8 August

In a significant initiative aimed at addressing pressing civic and infrastructure-related concerns of Lalkuan, Nagar Panchayat Chairman Surender Lotani held a detailed discussion with Bareilly Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Veena Sinha at Lalkuan Railway Station.

During the meeting, Chairman Lotani raised several issues of direct public importance and sought the Railway administration’s intervention for their effective resolution. Key matters discussed included provisions concerning the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, as well as issues related to railway crossings and bridge infrastructure associated with Lalkuan.

The proposed development of a dedicated tempo stand near the old railway station was also discussed at length. Chairman Lotani emphasised the need for a properly designated transport facility to streamline local traffic movement, reduce congestion and provide better arrangements for commuters and tempo operators.

The discussions focused on strengthening coordination between the Nagar Panchayat and the Railway administration on issues where railway land, infrastructure and civic requirements intersect.

Chairman Surender Lotani stressed that timely resolution of these long-standing issues is essential in view of the growing population and increasing traffic pressure in Lalkuan. He expressed hope that the Railway authorities would give due consideration to the concerns raised and initiate appropriate measures at the earliest.

The meeting is being seen as an important step towards closer coordination between the local civic body and the Railway administration for improving public infrastructure and addressing issues affecting residents of Lalkuan.
