Woman Supervisor Caught Red-Handed Taking ₹50,000 Bribe

In a major anti-corruption action, the Vigilance Department team arrested a woman supervisor of the Child Development Department while accepting a bribe of ₹50,000. The accused had allegedly demanded the money in exchange for facilitating a promotion.
According to official sources, the trap team of the Vigilance Sector Dehradun arrested the accused, identified as Rakhi Saini, Supervisor at the office of the Child Development Officer, Roorkee Rural-II, Haridwar.
She had allegedly demanded ₹50,000 from the complainant, Sapna Kashyap, an Anganwadi Assistant (Centre No. 7, Bhauri, Roorkee Rural-II), in lieu of processing her promotion.
Acting on the complaint, the vigilance team laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is underway. The incident has created a stir in the department
