Demonstrating exceptional endurance, discipline, and athletic excellence, Kamlesh Chandra Tiwari, Post Graduate Teacher (Physical Education) and Taekwondo Coach at Aryaman Vikram Birla Institute of Learning, Haldwani, secured the bronze medal after finishing third in the men’s category of the Rain Run Half Marathon (10.5 km). His outstanding performance has added another significant milestone to his illustrious sporting career while bringing recognition to both the institution and the state of Uttarakhand.A seasoned athlete with an impressive portfolio of achievements, Tiwari has consistently excelled at state and national competitions. He previously claimed the gold medal in the 800-metre event at the State and National Masters Athletics Championships, emerged victorious in the prestigious Toughman Championship, and has earned podium finishes in multiple half-marathon competitions, establishing himself as one of the region’s most accomplished endurance athletes.Beyond his personal accomplishments, Tiwari has made a profound contribution to sports development through his role as an educator and mentor. As a Physical Education teacher and Taekwondo coach, he has nurtured numerous athletes who have gone on to secure gold medals at national and international championships, enhancing the sporting reputation of Aryaman Vikram Birla Institute of Learning and Uttarakhand alike.His coaching legacy extends far beyond competitive success.
