The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) march towards the Raj Bhavan in Patna turned tense on Wednesday as police stopped the protesters near barricades and prevented them from moving further. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was also stopped from proceeding towards the Raj Bhavan.According to reports, RJD leaders and workers had gathered for the march over issues including alleged irregularities in examinations, paper leaks and police action against protesting students. Tejashwi Yadav had announced the August 19 march earlier this week.As the protesters attempted to move ahead, a scuffle reportedly broke out near the barricades. Police used water cannons and force to disperse the gathering, while some protesters were pushed back from the spot.RJD workers alleged that they had planned to march towards the Raj Bhavan but were stopped by the police before reaching their destination. Visuals from the protest showed a heavy police presence and security barricades being used to restrict the movement of the demonstrators.The situation remained tense as police continued efforts to disperse the crowd and prevent the march from proceeding further.
