BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi Rebuts Congress With Documentary Evidence, Reaffirms Zero Tolerance in Badrinath Temple Offering Probe Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Chairman Hemant Dwivedi strongly rejected the allegations made by the Congress regarding the Shri Badrinath Temple offering (Chadhawa) case, asserting that the investigation is being carried out in a fair, transparent, and impartial manner by all competent investigating agencies.Addressing a press conference, Dwivedi said that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued clear and stringent directives that anyone found guilty, irrespective of position or influence, will face the strictest legal action in accordance with the law.“There will be no leniency for anyone. The government is committed to ensuring that the truth comes out through a transparent and unbiased investigation,” Dwivedi said.The BKTC Chairman accused the Congress, particularly Uttarakhand Congress President Ganesh Godiyal, of attempting to politicise an issue linked to the faith of millions of devotees.“It is unfortunate that the opposition, having no real public issues to raise, is trying to exploit a matter of religious faith for political purposes instead of allowing the investigation to proceed independently,” Dwivedi said.He further alleged that the Congress leadership displayed political eagerness even before 24 hours had elapsed following the death of one of its party workers, describing the opposition’s conduct as “highly insensitive.”Responding to the allegations levelled against him, Dwivedi said he had presented official documents, written records, and documentary evidence during the press conference to counter every accusation made by the Congress.”Every allegation has been answered with facts and documentary proof. Truth will prevail through evidence, not political propaganda. Any future baseless allegations will also receive a factual and evidence-backed response,” he said.Dwivedi reiterated that the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee remains committed to transparency and accountability, while the state government has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards any irregularities. He said those found responsible after the investigation would face strict legal consequences without exception.
