The Izzatnagar Division of Northeast Railway is set to launch the 15312/15311 Kasganj–Aishbagh–Kasganj Express on July 26, marking a significant step towards improving rail connectivity and passenger convenience across Uttar Pradesh.
The inaugural special train (No. 05018) will be flagged off by Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Social Justice & Empowerment B.L. Verma and Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology Jitin Prasada.
An inauguration ceremony at Ujhani Railway Station will be attended by Badaun MP Aditya Yadav, Bilsi MLA Harish Chandra Shakya, and MLC Vagish Pathak. A parallel event at Puranpur Railway Station will witness the presence of MLA Baburam Paswan and MLC Dr. Sudhir Gupta, along with Union Minister Jitin Prasada.
The event will also be attended by Divisional Railway Manager Veena Sinha, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Manoj Kumar, senior railway officials, public representatives, and local residents.
The inaugural train will depart Ujhani at 12:00 pm, halting at Badaun, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Puranpur, Mailani, Gola Gokarnnath, Lakhimpur, Sitapur, Sidhauli, and Mohibullapur, before arriving at Aishbagh Junction at 9:10 pm.
The train will operate with 16 LHB coaches, including one power car, one SLR coach, four general second-class coaches, nine non-AC chair cars, and one AC chair car, providing passengers with improved safety and comfort.
Railway officials said the new service is expected to benefit students, farmers, traders, office-goers, pilgrims and tourists by offering faster and more convenient travel. The train is also expected to strengthen connectivity between Bareilly, Badaun, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur and Lucknow, contributing to regional trade, tourism, education and socio-economic development.According to Northeast Railway, the introduction of the Kasganj–Aishbagh Express reflects its continued efforts to enhance passenger services and improve rail infrastructure across the Izzatnagar Division.
