Strict Action Against Disruptors of Government Work, Two Arrested

Police in Dehradun have arrested two individuals in connection with vandalism and assault at the Asharodi Range forest office, warning of strict action against anyone obstructing government work.

According to Forest Range Officer Ravindra Kumar Bedwal, the incident occurred on February 21, 2026, when Vaibhav Gaur and Savej Shah allegedly stormed into the office, vandalised property, assaulted staff, and used abusive language. The accused also reportedly damaged vehicles parked within the premises, disrupting official duties.

Based on the complaint, Clement Town police registered FIR No. 16/2026 under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 115(2), 121(1), 132, 221, 324(4), 351(2), and 352.

Considering the seriousness of the case, police launched an investigation and arrested both accused on February 22 after sustained tracking and intelligence efforts.

  • Vaibhav Gaur, son of Shiv Prasad Singh Gaur, resident of Chola Chandramani, Patel Nagar, Dehradun (28)

  • Savej Shah, son of Akram Shah, resident of Majra, Patel Nagar, Dehradun (27)

Police reiterated that vandalism, violence, and attempts to disrupt government functioning will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will continue against those involved in such activities.
