Shopkeeper Found Dead Inside Shop in Pauri, Probe Underway

Sensation spread in the Dhara Road area of Pauri city on Saturday morning after the body of a shopkeeper was found inside his shop under suspicious circumstances.
According to information, local traders noticed that a shop was open in the morning and the shopkeeper was lying unconscious inside. When repeated attempts to wake him failed, the matter was immediately reported to Pauri Kotwali police.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. SSI Raj Vikram Singh of Pauri Kotwali said that the deceased has been identified as Vijay Anand Singh, aged around 45 years. The body has been taken into custody and necessary legal formalities are being completed. Family members have also been informed.
The exact cause of death is yet to be determined and will be confirmed after further investigation and post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, Traders’ Association President Vinay Sharma termed the incident extremely unfortunate and concerning. He said that a trader being found dead inside his own shop is alarming. Police are thoroughly investigating the matter and the truth will come out soon.
