Woman Dies After Alleged Unauthorised Heart Procedure; Medical Negligence Case Registered in Haryana . A shocking case of alleged medical negligence has emerged from Haryana’s Panipat district, where a woman reportedly died after doctors allegedly performed a heart procedure without informing or obtaining consent from her family.According to a police complaint filed by the victim’s family, the woman was admitted to a private hospital on GT Road after suffering a leg fracture in a road accident. Her relatives claim she was admitted solely for treatment of the fractured bone and were assured that she would undergo treatment for her leg injury.However, the family has alleged that the very next day, doctors performed an angioplasty and inserted a heart stent without their knowledge or written consent. They further accused the hospital of forging signatures on the consent form required for the cardiac procedure.The complainants stated that the woman’s health deteriorated following the alleged procedure, and she died during treatment. The family said they are unable to understand why a heart operation was carried out when she had been admitted for an orthopaedic injury.
The incident took place at a private hospital located on GT Road in Panipat. Based on the family’s complaint, police have registered a case against the doctors concerned and initiated an investigation into the allegations.The deceased has been identified as Gudi Devi. According to her son, Kuldeep, the family had expected treatment for her fractured leg but was allegedly never informed about any need for a cardiac intervention.Police officials said the matter is under investigation, and further action will be taken based on the findings. The hospital’s response to the allegations was not available at the time of publication.
