Uttarakhand Chief Backs Modi’s Fast-Track Courts Plan to Tackle Exam Paper Leaks Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to establish fast-track courts for cases involving examination paper leaks, describing the move as a significant policy intervention aimed at protecting the interests of millions of students. In a statement on Thursday, Dhami said the initiative underscores the federal government’s commitment to safeguarding the integrity of India’s examination system and ensuring that students’ hard work, merit and future are not undermined by organized examination fraud. The chief minister said dedicated fast-track courts would enable the swift adjudication of paper leak cases, ensure timely and stringent punishment for those found guilty, and create a stronger legal deterrent against future offences. The decision comes amid growing national concern over examination-related irregularities, which have disrupted recruitment and academic entrance processes in several states and prompted calls for tougher enforcement and institutional reforms. Dhami said the measure would strengthen public confidence in the transparency, credibility and accountability of India’s examination and recruitment systems.
