The death of Deepak Lodhi, also known as Rasik Dulari Sharan, a disciple associated with spiritual preacher Premanand Maharaj, has raised questions after details emerging from the post-mortem examination and the recovery of an electric grinder from his room.Deepak Lodhi died after falling from the fourth floor of Guru Kripa Kunj Ashram in Vrindavan on Friday. Police have been investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, while CCTV footage has reportedly indicated that he jumped from the building. Amid the growing questions surrounding the case, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, associated with Jyotirmath in Uttarakhand, has called for a thorough investigation.
According to the statement reported by the the Headlines Post Shankaracharya said he learned about the incident from a journalist after reaching Jabalpur. He said he was told that an electric grinder had been recovered from the deceased’s room and that there were reports of severe bleeding linked to an injury to a body part.Avimukteshwaranand said that, in view of these details, it would be premature to conclude that the death was simply the result of an accidental fall or that someone pushed him. He suggested that another possibility or circumstance could be involved, but stressed that the truth could only be established through a proper investigation. The Shankaracharya also stressed the need for transparency in the investigation, saying that the facts should be brought into the open so that there is no room for speculation.Police, meanwhile, have said that the CCTV footage appears to indicate suicide at first sight. However, authorities are examining the post-mortem findings and other evidence, including the electric grinder recovered from the room, to establish exactly what happened.Deepak had reportedly joined Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in 2024 and subsequently came to be known as Rasik Dulari Sharan. His family has also raised questions about their lack of contact with him in the period before his death. The investigation remains underway, and the circumstances leading to Deepak Lodhi’s death are yet to be conclusively established.
