Delhi Returns to Calm After Parliament Protest; High-Level Security Review Held .Normalcy gradually returned to the areas surrounding Parliament House on Monday after protests and clashes earlier in the day. Metro stations that had been temporarily affected resumed normal operations as security agencies continued to monitor the situation across the national capital.According to sources, a high-level security review meeting was held between the Union Home Secretary and the Delhi Police Commissioner following the unrest. Senior intelligence officials, including representatives from the Intelligence Bureau (IB), were also present during the meeting to assess the security situation and review crowd-control measures.The review came after police used force, including a reported lathi-charge, to disperse protesters attempting to march towards Parliament despite security restrictions. Authorities later restored order, and movement in the vicinity of Parliament House gradually returned to normal.Sources said the Home Secretary sought a detailed report on the day’s developments, including the sequence of events, security arrangements, and the police response. Officials are expected to submit a comprehensive assessment as the government continues to monitor the situation.No official statement has yet been issued regarding the outcome of the security review meeting.
