The Ambani family’s annual Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations once again turned Mumbai’s iconic Antilia into a spectacular festive setting, with elaborate floral décor, traditional arrangements and a grand welcome for Lord Ganesha.
The celebrations began on September 13, as the family welcomed their beloved Ganpati idol, popularly known as ‘Antilia Cha Raja’. The residence was adorned with flowers, lights and temple-inspired decorations, creating an elaborate festive ambience.
Images from the celebrations showed the idol of Lord Ganesha placed in an ornate setting, while decorative elements, including traditional motifs and floral arrangements, added to the grandeur of the occasion.
Nita Ambani appeared in a traditional silk saree and paired her festive look with statement gold jewellery. Her appearance, along with the elaborate décor at Antilia, became a major talking point on social media.
The celebrations also featured a special Bharatanatyam performance by Radhika Merchant, who wore a custom Kanjeevaram-inspired ensemble created by designer Manish Malhotra for the occasion.
The star-studded gathering included several Bollywood personalities and sporting icons, including Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Ranveer Singh and Sachin Tendulkar, among others.
With its elaborate decorations, traditional rituals, celebrity guests and family celebrations, Antilia once again became one of the prominent venues associated with Ganesh Chaturthi festivities in Mumbai.
