Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday said BRICS nations have a unique opportunity to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness, deepen technological collaboration, build resilient value chains and promote sustainable industrial growth.Addressing the 10th BRICS Industry Ministers’ Meeting held in Jaipur under India’s BRICS 2026 Chairship, Goyal said the discussions focused on the future of industrial cooperation and economic collaboration among BRICS member nations.The minister emphasized that stronger partnerships in manufacturing, technology and innovation would help member countries enhance industrial resilience and accelerate sustainable development.Goyal said India highlighted key priorities during the meeting, including strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), fostering startup innovation, expanding clean energy cooperation and developing technology-enabled logistics ecosystems to support long-term industrial growth.A major outcome of the meeting was the adoption of the Joint Declaration, which reaffirmed the member nations’ commitment to advancing practical cooperation under the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR).According to the minister, the declaration also underlined the collective resolve of BRICS countries to deepen collaboration in industrial innovation, clean energy, logistics and resilient manufacturing.Goyal said that under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India remains committed to strengthening partnerships across the expanded BRICS grouping and translating dialogue into meaningful outcomes that promote shared growth and prosperity.The 10th BRICS Industry Ministers’ Meeting forms part of India’s BRICS 2026 Chairship and is aimed at enhancing cooperation in manufacturing, innovation, sustainability and economic development among member countries.
