Iran President Pezeshkian Defiant: “We Will Not Bow to Pressure”

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has delivered a strong and defiant message amid continuing tensions, declaring that Iran will not surrender to external pressure and will defend what it considers its national interests.

Pezeshkian has repeatedly maintained that Iran does not seek war, but would respond if the country is attacked. In earlier remarks, he said that the greater the pressure imposed on Iran, the stronger its response would become, stressing that the country would not easily bow to what he described as bullying, oppression or aggression.

The Iranian president’s comments come against the backdrop of heightened tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel. Tehran has continued to signal that negotiations and diplomacy remain possible, but has rejected any settlement that it believes amounts to surrender or undermines Iran’s ability to defend itself.

In another recent statement, Pezeshkian said Iran would “never bow down to the enemy” and argued that dialogue should not be interpreted as surrender or retreat.

Iran Signals Resistance, But Keeps Door Open for Dialogue

While the rhetoric from Tehran has hardened, Pezeshkian has also emphasized that Iran does not want a prolonged conflict. His position has been that Iran is prepared to pursue dialogue where discussions are based on what Tehran considers mutual respect and international frameworks.

The latest statements are likely to draw close international attention as diplomatic efforts continue and tensions in the region remain high.
