CM Dhami Holds Public Outreach Camp in Chamoli; 1,737 Applications Resolved on the Spot

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday participated in a major public outreach camp under the ‘Seva, Sushasan evam Samarpan’ service fortnight at the Police Ground in Gopeshwar, Chamoli district, where a large number of citizen grievances and welfare applications were resolved on the spot.
The programme, organised under the campaign ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’, witnessed significant public participation as the Chief Minister personally interacted with residents, heard their concerns, and directed officials to ensure immediate redressal of several pending issues. Beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes were also provided assistance materials, sanction letters, machinery, and financial support during the camp.

Jhungora Processing Machine Provided Instantly
One of the notable interventions during the camp involved Sarita Devi from Khaltara village in Nandnagar block, who informed the Chief Minister that farmers in her region produce large quantities of Jhungora (barnyard millet) but suffer due to inadequate threshing and processing facilities.
Taking immediate cognisance of the issue, the Chief Minister directed Agriculture Department officials to provide a Jhungora threshing and processing machine directly from the departmental stall at the camp venue.
Seeds and Poultry Assistance Approved
Neeraj Bhatt, a resident of Rauli Gwad village in Dasholi block, requested lily flower seeds for cultivation before August. The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure seed availability within one month.
Similarly, Gulshan Singh Rana of Badagaon village in Jyotirmath block sought assistance for establishing a poultry farm. The Chief Minister approved support under the National Livestock Mission and directed officials to facilitate the proposal.
Road Contract Registration Cleared
Jaydeep Singh from Kaujapothni village complained that his contractor registration application for motor road and culvert construction works had been pending with the Public Works Department for four days.
The Chief Minister instructed the Executive Engineer to complete all formalities and approve the registration the same day.
Apple Mission and Anti-Hail Nets
Devendra Singh of Nauli village in Pokhari block requested apple saplings under the Apple Mission along with anti-hail nets for crop protection.
The Chief Minister directed the District Horticulture Officer to provide maximum benefits available under departmental schemes along with subsidy support.
Welfare Benefits Distributed
During the event, assistance under multiple welfare schemes was distributed:
6 beneficiaries received Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Kits from the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department.
3 beneficiaries received Scheduled Caste daughters’ marriage grants through the Social Welfare Department.
The Agriculture Department provided a Farm Machinery Bank to Tilak Self-Help Group of Kundi village.
2 beneficiaries received grass and shrub cutting machines.
Chain-linked fencing was sanctioned for Bairagna village.
FPOs with ₹1 Crore Turnover Honoured
The Chief Minister also honoured Roopkund Fed Farmers Producer Company Ltd., Hatkalyani (Dewal) and Unnati Autonomous Cooperative FPO, Padergaon (Nandnagar) for achieving an annual turnover of ₹1 crore through outstanding agricultural performance.
Interest-Free Loans and Financial Assistance
Under the Cooperative Department:
4 beneficiaries received loan cheques at zero percent interest under the Deendayal Upadhyay Cooperative Farmer Welfare Scheme.
2 beneficiaries received fodder seeds from the Animal Husbandry Department.
Under the Horticulture Department:

Additionally, five beneficiaries received financial assistance cheques under the Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana to promote self-employment.
‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ Campaign
On the occasion of Harela festival, Chief Minister Dhami planted a Rudraksha sapling under the campaign ‘Har Gaon Ka Yahi Paigam: Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
He said that environmental conservation is an integral part of Uttarakhand’s cultural ethos and emphasised that large-scale plantation efforts are essential for securing a clean and green environment for future generations.
